AUTOMATIC PREPARATION & POINTING (APP)

An integral part of theSpinner Block, the APP unit can also play a key role retrofitted as a stand alone unit for both MRB equipment and other tube preparation activity. The unit minimises operator handling of tube, greatly reducing manual workload, incorporating the following features:

  • Tube end opening to ease plug insertion
  • Back-denting of the tube to retain the plug during thread-in
  • Internal lubrication of the tube
  • Plug insertion
  • Denting of the tube in front of the plug
  • Pointing.

Automatic preparation and pointing can be achieved on the following tube sizes:

  • Ø48 x 2.4 mm down to 10 mm I/D.

TUBE POINTER

Our stand-alone pointers use hydraulic operation to form a pointed tag end.

Units are offered to cater for the following size ranges:

    Standard pointer:

  • Ø45mm x 2.5mm tube down to
    Ø4mm x 0.3mm, with 200mm point end.

    • Pointer for inner grooving:

  • Ø20mm x 1mm tube down
    to cover all standard IGT
    sizes. 350mm point end.
