MRB Schumag’s proven VNVG 2000 Inner Grooving Line’s offer customers a highly advanced solution to ensure cost-effective, quality produced tube. By understanding customer requirements in considering adding inner grooved tube to their product mix, MRB Schumag has focused its design to maximise productivity, quality and efficiency, while reducing tooling costs and operator workload.
Speed
- Utilising a superb high-speed spindle, the
grooving head can run at up to an unprecedented
45,000rpm - Line speeds of up to 100m/min.
Efficiency
- Innovative reciprocating die technology can
extend tool life by up to 8 times normal levels - Back to back layouts allow one operator to work
on multiple machines simultaneously.

- Proven VNVG Veegroove technology gently
draws the tube through the process - Sample Collection allows quality inspection of
tube at full line speed, using a flying shear
system without any interruption to the drawing

VNVG VEEGROOVE WHEEL
Inner grooved tube is drawn using MRB Schumag’s well proven VNVG Veegroove wheel. Itself a type of spinner block, it has the flexibility to be used as a pure ‘spinner’ machine, or in this case the Veegroove is utilised to draw tube through the inner grooving unit for three-quarters of a turn before it passes into the empty basket.
VNVG Veegroove technology offers the drawing speed required, whilst ensuring smooth and safe processing of the tube, hence its perfect marriage with drawing and inner grooving of commercial tube.
