new
® Spinner Block.
Mexican based IUSA s.a. have committed to the purchase to satisfy their exciting
copper tube production plans in the NAFTA region. The transaction further cements
the relationship between the 2 organisations, which now spans many decades and in
the region of 20 Tube Blocks.
Paul Storey, Managing Director of MRB, commented, " This is the first
® sale to the NAFTA
region. We are particularly pleased, as IUSA were one of the very first customers
of the SB2200 Block, following its introduction to the market in the early 90's.
This latest machine has been in development for several years, and has numerous
innovative features appealing to all disciplines involved in the purchase, operation
and maintenance of a Spinner Block. The relationship with IUSA dates back to the
1950's, when the late Mr. Alejo Peralta bought the first Block from the then, Marshall
Richards Machine Co. The association is something we are very proud of and this
sale, further confirms IUSA's desire and commitment to be working with the very
latest technology for the intermediate drawing of copper tubes"
IUSA's current tube manufacturing operations extend to 3 facilities, producing 120,000
tonnes of copper tube per year.
